Mangalore has a tropical climate.Winter is the best time to visit this place. Mangalore resembles Kerala in its natural beauty.Backwater, the climate and the influence of Catholic religion all reminds of Kerala. Mangalore has a tropical and humid climate and it is influenced by the Arabian Sea and the South-West Monsoon. The summer season begins from March to May and it is during this time the temperature is bit high but it is tolerable. The avearge temperature ranges between 27'c to 34'c. The average humidity is about 78% which makes it a bit difficult for the tourists. The ideal time to visit this beautiful city is between May and September. The city experiences heavy rains between May and Octoberand rainy season in Mangalore is quite enjoyable. The onset of winter changes everything. Tourists can really enjoy during this period as the temperature ranges between 22'c to 32'c.

Clothing

For Summer, cotton is preferable and for Winter light woollen garments are suitable. Beachwear is also reccommended for those who want to enjoy the SEA.
