Mangladevi Temple:
Built in 10th century ,Mangladevi Temple is very famous with the tourists.The city takes it name from the Goddess Mangaladevi.St. Aloysius College Chapel Manglaore

Kadri Park:
Located at a distance of 3km from the city's main bus stand,Kadri Park has everything right from snakes,animals and a beautiful garden for the tiny tots.

The lighthouse tower:
Located at a distance of 1 km from the bus stand, the lighthouse tower beautifully captures various mood of the sea and presents beautifully sunrise, sunset and the images of sailing boats and ships.

St.Aloysius College Chapel:
Built in the year 1899-1900,the architectural pattern of the church compells it to compare it with Sistine chapel in Rome.

Mangaladevi Temple ManglaoreMuseums:
Mahatma Gandhi Museum houses a collection of manuscripts,coins,art ,scripture.Located in Canara High School,the Museum remains open from 9.30 to 12.30pm and from 2.30 to 5.30pm.

Shreemanthi Bal Memorial Government Museum:
It has some fine stone scriptures.It remains open from 9.00am to 5.00 pm.

Sultan Battery:
Built by Tipu Sultan, this watchtower is situated at a distance of 4kms from the city.Built in black stones,it gives an impression of a miniature fortress.

50 km away at Karkala, 14 m high idol of Gomoteswar (Bahubali) is carved out of the rock in1432 AD. lt is a famous holy place of Jains. On the way is the highly crafted quadrangular Basti. Karkala is also famous as a commercial city for coffee and cashewnut. For accommodation. TouristCottage of Karnataka Tourism is there.

VENUR:
A holy place of Jains on the way to Dharmasthali 18 km to the east of Karkala is situated the famous 11 m idolof Gomateswar , built in 1604. The ruins of Mahadev Temple is also at Vennur.

Dharmasthali:
Situated on the bank of river Nethravati, 41 km towards Mangalore-Belur way (75 km from Mangalore),Dharmasthali is a famous Jain pilgrim centre.It is also famous for the highly carved temple of Manjunathswami.

Mudabidri:
Located at a distance of 22 km away from Venur, Mudabiri is known for 18 jain Bastis .A hall of 1000 pillars
are at Chandranath Basti (1429). The 17th century Chouta Palace Private Hall is another attraction.Sultan Battery Manglaore

UDUPI:
A Vaishnav pilgrim centre, Udupi is 32 km from Karkala and 58 km from Mangalore to Jogmukhi on NH17. Udupi is famous for Sree Krishna Temple (built by Sreemadhav at the heart of the city.

Malpe Beach:
Famous for its pristine and serene beauty,Malpe Beach is situated at a distance of 66km from Mangalore.It is an ideal place for those who are picnic mood.
